PORSCHE 911 SC
There is not much we can say about Porsche 911 that you wouldn’t already know. It is an icon that has been increasing in its value over the last decades. The models from 1973 to 1989 are called the “G series” models. Within the G series the first 911 Turbo was born, and became an instant favorite, fetching well into the six figures. On the other hand, one can find 911SC’s for a really good price, even these days with the Porsche market exploding as it has been for the past few years.
When we bought this 911SC, the car was painted white and the previous owner had told us that the original color was red. We got the service records that date back to 1994, and it showed that the engine and transmission were redone in that year at 63,000 miles. So this car was in perfect mechanical condition. When we decided to work on it mechanically, just to see that everything was working properly, and when we lowered the engine, we saw spots of green paint on the engine bay. We made further research on the car and saw that the actual original color is Sebring Green. This shade of green is one of the most unique colors that Porsche ever made, to this date it is unknown how many cars have been made in this color, but our research has led us to believe that there are only around a handful of them around the world. So we decided to repaint the car to its original color and refurbish some interior details, keeping the car very true to its original design, yet adding an air of originality.
