JAGUAR E-TYPE
The Jaguar E-Type was shown for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show in 1961, and legend has it that Enzo Ferrari upon seeing the car called it the most beautiful car ever made. Not only is it considered a beautiful car, it is also an engineering feat, with an in-line 6-cylinder engine with double overhead camshafts, disc brakes, the only car manufacturer offering them in the first years of production, and the amazing independent coil spring rear suspension. This combination of performance and beauty make the Jaguar E-type the most desirable car of the era.
This is a Series II example, some think the most desirable in terms of usability, because it has more legroom than the Series I. Some mechanical flaws are fixed in Series II, while still keeping the glorious 6-cylinder engine (it was later replaced by a not as desirable v12). The car has gone through a nut and bolt restoration carried out by the current owner and has been meticulously maintained since. It has a red interior over a detailed oxford-metallic gray paint, in our opinion, one of the most stunning color combinations for the model. The car still retains its matching-numbers engine. The miles shown are not the correct ones for the engine, but are believed to be the original ones since the car was delivered to the initial owner.
